Keynote Speaker
Pastor Steve Lombardo, Jr.
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t believe in Jesus. Growing up in a Christian home, my parents lived out their faith daily, which shaped my own. Yet it wasn’t until junior high that I truly began to grasp what it meant to follow Christ for myself. During this time, Galatians 6:7-9 became meaningful to me, convicting me of my need to live out my faith intentionally.
There have been painful times where God, in His mercy, led me to repentance. I am a sinner, prone to selfishness, and God continually redirects my heart to His path. Over the years, I felt God calling me not only to trust Him for salvation but also to dedicate my life to serving Him fully. This call became clear when He opened my eyes to the lost souls around me; I realized my heart needed to align with God’s desire for everyone to be saved (1 Tim. 2:4).
My journey led me to Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for pastoral training. After a decade of ministry—one year church-planting and nine as a solo pastor—I now have the privilege of shepherding God’s people at Village, alongside my wife and three children. It is both an honor and a responsibility I hold with gratitude and humility.
