40+ Years Theme and Speakers Leadership

1981-1982

The beginning of the idea of Family and Youth Bible Camping began at LEM (Lutheran Evangelism Movement) camp at Lake Koronis in Paynesville, MN. Monica (Anderson) Williams remembers going there as a Middle Schooler.

1983-1984

A group from West Lisbon Church, Grace Lutheran Church and other Lutheran churches in the area under the direction of Ron and Marge Johnson, Gene and Betty Hatteberg, Don and Lorraine Michelson, Stan and Alberta Larson developed a board called Family and Youth Bible Camp, to spend a week at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, WI. Lutherdale Bible Camp was the camp that many of the youth in our area had attended from back in the 1940’s. Due to the number in attendance and wanting to continue to have the FYBC’s own programming, they looked for a new camp site.

1985 - 2000

The FYBC moved to Lake Geneva Youth Camp & Conference Center (Lake Geneva, WI) and continued to grow and needed bigger and better-suited camp grounds for our camp.

2001-2006

The Cedar Lake Bible Conference Center in Cedar Lake, IN became the new home for the camp. The

2007-2017

As the size of the camp attendees continued to grow, once again a decision to find a
